Gerner Energy’s Preferred Service Plan provides equipment service by trained technicians and includes an annual tune-up that can address problems before they turn into a major expense.
This preventative maintenance includes:
Replacing the oil filter cartridge and burner nozzle
Testing and adjusting the oil burner for maximum efficiency
Cleaning and checking electrodes and nozzle assembly
Oiling all motors on burners, fans, and circulators
Checking and adjusting pump pressure
Checking all safety and operating controls
Vacuuming furnace and flue pipe
Vacuuming chimney base when accessible
The Preferred Service Plan also includes a 15% discount on all parts and labor with any repair performed.
Terms and Conditions
Gerner Energy LLC and their Authorized Representatives reserve the right to inspect existing equipment to be covered under selected Service Agreement.
Parts required for acceptance are charged at prevailing rates. The validity of this Service Agreement and services rendered are contingent upon these Terms and Conditions.
This Agreement is not in force if the customer’s account is delinquent or if the customer is not purchasing heating oil from Gerner Energy LLC.
Customer must remedy any conditions identified by Gerner Energy LLC or their Authorized Representatives as a hazard.
Customer cannot permit any person other than Gerner Energy or their Authorized Representative to service their equipment.
Unless stated otherwise in the service agreement, it is the customer’s responsibility to check and maintain adequate water levels in the boiler, venting air from the heating system, providing adequate furnace room ventilation for proper combustion, flushing the low water cutoff, maintaining clean air filters, draining expansion tank, replacing fuses, cleaning or replacing air filters, resetting circuit breakers, and turning on emergency switch.
For any service rendered, unless described in the customer’s selected service agreement, all parts and labor will be charged at prevailing rates.
The responsibility of Gerner Energy LLC and their Authorized Representatives to replace or repair parts is subject to the accessibility of such parts. Gerner Energy LLC is under no obligation to repair or replace parts deemed obsolete.
Gerner Energy LLC and their Authorized Representatives are not responsible for non-performance when the interruption is caused by circumstances beyond Gerner Energy LLC and their Authorized Representative’s control.
Customer shall be solely responsible for any tank and/or oil line leakage or any damages to persons or property resulting from tank and/or oil line leakage. Customer shall be solely responsible for any cleanup, removal, remedial action, or other costs of compliance with any environmental or federal, state and/or local statutes or regulations or requirements of common law.
This Service Agreement does not cover labor or replacement of parts damaged by accident, frozen oil lines, fire, water, tampering, acts of God, strikes, material, labor shortages, abuse, out of oil, lack of water in the system, blown fuses, or the emergency switch being in the “OFF” position.
Gerner Energy LLC and their Authorized Representatives are not responsible for damages resulting from an unattended, unoccupied home or building.

All payments under this Agreement shall be due when billed. Terms are Net Ten (10) days from time of invoice date. If customer is enrolled in Gerner Energy Budget plan, the cost of the plans will be rolled into the budget billing.
The customer agrees to all terms and conditions listed in this brochure during the term of this agreement and any renewals thereof. Customer agrees that in the event there are any changes in coverage in the future, the terms and conditions of this agreement shall continue to apply.

This 16-point tune-up will be performed once during the Service Plan term:
Clean indoor coil
Clean outdoor condenser coil
Clean or replace air filters (customer provides)
Check operating pressures and temperatures
Test all safety controls for proper operation
Lubricate all moving parts as needed
Flush condensate drain and pan to avoid overflow
Check and adjust blower motor (and belt, when applicable)
Test temperature drop at return and supply air
Measure refrigerant
Check and tighten all electrical connections
Check voltage and amperage in motors
Check for worn bearings
Check compressor contacts
Inspect start and run capacitors and relays
Inform customer of equipment condition and recommend suggestions and repairs
