We do. Gerner installs, owns, maintains, insures, and services the tank — including tank parts, repairs, and safety checks. You just enjoy the propane.
No – and that’s true with any leased tanks. By law and safety rules, only the company that owns a tank may fill it. That’s the trade: you skip the cost of buying and maintaining a tank, and we earn your fuel business with great service and competitive pricing.
Often as soon as next week, as long as your install doesn’t require a permit. We keep the most common sizes in stock so you’re not waiting on inventory.
Yes, to avoid a lease fee, there’s a minimum amount of propane you buy each year, based on the size of the tank you lease. That’s why we help you choose a tank sized to how much propane you actually use. When the tank fits your usage, meeting the minimum is typically just part of your normal propane use. We’ll walk you through exactly what it looks like for your tank before you decide, so there are no surprises.
Running a business? We lease for commercial operations too: building heat, standby generators, forklift fleets, agriculture, restaurants, and more. We’ll size the tank and structure the agreement around how your operation actually uses propane. Just ask our commercial team.
Moving? We make it simple. Give us at least 30 days’ notice before you sell or relocate. If the new homeowner or tenant signs up with Gerner, we’ll waive [fees Kip confirms]. You can also have your tank moved to your new home within our service area for a [set fee], or the new homeowner can take over your lease agreement with our approval.
Reaching the end of your lease term? There’s no termination fee. Just give us 30 days’ written notice so your lease doesn’t renew.
Ending early? Call us and we’ll walk you through the options and any amounts due.
